Today’s shoot is set in my own beautiful part of the world – Hawke’s Bay New Zealand! Captured in the olive barn of local winery, Black Barn, by some wonderful wedding pros I am lucky enough to call friends, I couldn’t be more excited to share this vision of a Fall wedding. It strikes the perfect balance between contemporary and timeless, with just a hint of renaissance romance – oh the florals, they will take your breath away!…..

I will let photographer Michelle Hepburn share what inspired their floral-filled barn celebration…. “Our intention was to celebrate the season of Autumn – notably the muted colours and textures abundant in flora and fauna at this time of year.

In this season the duration of daylight becomes noticeably shorter, and you get the most beautiful soft light, fondly reminiscent of a Dutch / Flemish renaissance painting.

Taking this cue from the paintings of this era we wanted to explore the idea of various scenes that celebrated the elements and textures of the season, whilst also communicating a timeless elegance for the bride of today”.
