Garnet Glamour – Glittering Winter Wedding Inspiration in Garnet & Gold
Continuing the Garnet theme here on Chic Vintage Brides, in celebration of January (and garnet being January’s birthstone), today’s inspiration board is a glamorous and darkly romantic take on the shade. Full of deep, rich colours, opulence and fabulous florals, it exudes an intimate warmth and would be perfect for a Winter wedding…..

As a Winter bride myself, it is my favourite season for a wedding – dropping temperatures and snowy backdrops gives us ladies the perfect excuse for throwing on a fur (faux of course!) jacket or stole, and shorter days mean longer nights which is ideal for a softly lit, champagne charged party! And for just such a celebration rich jewel tones and metallics are a match made in heaven. Add to that hints of pretty pink and you have a palette of modern sophistication, with a nod to times gone by .
Best of all, this is a colour theme that would work in almost any venue, it would wow your guests in a historical country estate house, it would look elegant in a hotel, and it would layer luxury and warmth to a rustic barn! Whatever your chosen venue, I love the idea of sipping champagne in front of a roaring fire, before dancing the night away to a live band under sparkling chandeliers with the scent of fresh flowers filling the air.
If you have set your heart on a Winter wedding but are unconvinced by this colour palette you will find lots more wedding colours and inspiration boards in CVB’s archives! Like these 11 Winter color palettes (and there’s not a red, white and green in sight!) this elegant brown palette (yes, brown – don’t dismiss it until you’ve seen it!) or this rustic woodland wedding inspiration.
