A Romantic Temecula Creek Inn Wedding
Photography - OneLove PhotographyKen & Sabrina are known for their parties, so when it came to their wedding it had to of course be the ultimate party, and that is most definitely what they delivered – a whole weekend of celebrations centered around their big day. From their timeless ceremony, to their laid back reception (which included a game of beer pong!), to their dance-floor filled evening, their wedding perfectly reflected this fun-loving couple and and their love!
Beautiful bride Sabrina shared all the details with us…. “From the beginning of planning, we both shared the desire for a wedding weekend. We have attended several beautiful weddings that seem to fly by without ever getting a chance to really connect with the couple. We had so many friends and family flying cross country for us so we wanted to get as much time with them as possible.
We started the Labor Day weekend off with a Thursday night BBQ at a house we rented on the hotel property. On Friday, about 60 of us went on a three-stop wine tour through Temecula and that night we all went bar hopping. Saturday was our wedding day and guests spent most of it watching college football, lounging at the pool and visiting Ken in the guest house and Sabrina in the bridal suite. Post wedding, most of the guests continued the party at the guest house and the weekend wrapped up with a Sunday brunch. The whole weekend flowed easily and the vibe was always relaxed, happy and full of love.
Our wedding colors were slate blue and dusty rose. The bridesmaids wore slate blue tulle skirts and white lace tops. The men wore navy blue suits and Ken wore a dusty rose tie and shoes.”
THE DRESS
“As soon as I discovered the Australian company Grace Loves Lace, I knew I wanted to wear one of their wedding dresses. Their style completely spoke to me – I think it’s the perfect mix of feminine, sexy and comfort. During my fitting, I tried on several dresses I liked but when I put on the Alexandra, I knew it was the one. I felt confident and at ease. The low back and high slit was just the perfect amount of sexy for my wedding day.”
THE FLOWERS
“Our bouquets comprised of ivory, blush, and dusty rose blooms including garden roses, spray roses, scabiosa, lisianthus, dahlias, and astilbe.
Open, organic design tied with ivory ribbon. And lush, seasonal foliages appeared throughout the wedding.”
THE DECOR
“We had farm tables with garlands of mixed foliage lining each one. We rented beautiful furniture pieces from Madam Palooza including a living room setup for the Stone House, a blue velvet sofa for photos chandeliers to hang from the trees. There was a game area with bocce ball, beer pong, flip cup and corn hole. We had polaroid cameras set out and a fruit drying board for guests to hang their photos and messages. “
THE FAVORS
“We killed a few birds with our party favors! Each guest received a small succulent to take home. In each succulent was a name tag with the guest’s name and his/her table number. We had three colors for the pots – pink, white and blue. These colors signified to the kitchen staff what the guest’s meal preference was.”
THE CAKE
“Our cake was a three tier feathered white cake with two flavors. The top two tiers were vanilla almond with raspberry filling and fresh almonds and the bottom tier was chocolate cookie buttercream. Individual flowers were placed around the cake.”
WORDS OF WEDDING WISDOM
“This is obviously much easier said than done but don’t sweat the small stuff! If I could go back to the planning process, I would remind myself that no matter what, the day would be amazing because I was marrying the love of my life and that’s all that mattered. I would have tried to relish the planning process a little more because, ultimately, it really is fun to plan your dream weekend that’s all about you!
Also, definitely do a first look! I was so nervous all morning and couldn’t even stomach a glass of champagne (rare for me!) I was anxious about walking down the aisle and then reading my vows in front of 130 people. But the minute I saw Ken for the first look, all of my nerves vanished. I felt giddy with excitement. After our photos, my bridesmaids and I had some champagne and walking down the aisle was one of the most confident moments of my life.”
THE PHOTOGRAPHY
“Ken is an executive producer and director of television so he has a very critical eye. Thus, he was put in charge of finding the videographer and photographer. As he was speaking to Sarah of One Love for the first time, he texted me saying that this was definitely the one. From the beginning, everyone at One Love was so invested in our wedding and happiness. It often felt like we were their only clients because of all the attention they gave us! It was clear they wanted to do everything in their power to make our wedding photos exactly what we wanted.
Stephanie, our wedding photographer, could not have been lovelier. Neither Ken or I enjoy having our photos taken. We both feel self-conscious and it’s hard for us to not just resort to being goofy. But Stephanie made us feel so comfortable and confident that we often forgot the cameras were even there. We could not be happier with the final product. The photos captured our goofy, wild sides while also showing how much love there is between us and our beautiful friends and family.”
Isn’t it lovely?? What a relaxed yet beautiful day! As always a heartfelt thankyou to the happy couple Ken & Sabrina for allowing me to share their big day with you, and to One Love photography for capturing every detail and moment so perfectly!
