Beautiful Grecian Goddess Bridal Inspiration

Inspired by the beauty and grace of historic Greece, today’s shoot takes place at the Michigan Capitol Building in Lansing – an office building for government officials during the week and a venue for opulent weddings on the weekends. With its sweeping steps, cast iron dome and stone exterior, the Victorian building, which opened in 1879, was the perfect backdrop for this beautiful bridal editorial!

This styled shoot was inspired by the beauty and gracefulness of Greece.  We wanted to feature a clean palette with neutral colors and natural elements and focused on the grandness of the venue.

I had such a hard time finding a non-traditional wedding dress that would go with the overall Grecian Goddess theme but when I saw the gown on PromHoney; I knew it was perfect. Off-shoulder with beautiful embroidery and lace applique, a flowing train on one side and a see-through mermaid styled dress on the other.

A Grecian Goddess wedding would not be complete without beautiful hair pieces which were purchased from Fanny Shop. Samantha and Erin from The Artisan Company braided the two bridesmaids hair pieces into their hair to keep them in place.

We chose ivory roses as the main flowers because we wanted to maintain our clean and neutral color palette and added some taupe roses as accents.  Laura from Delta Flowers created a non-traditional bouquet by cascading the flowers and added some draped vines for additional length.

Jeremy from Designed by Daddy created a simple three layered cake with icing to allow us to decorate it with vines and flowers to match the bouquet.

Beautiful, don’t you think?? I just love the neutral color palette! A big thankyou to all the wonderful creatives who lent their talents, and especially to Sandra of DreamBox Photography who captured it all so perfectly.

For more breathtaking bridal shoots, take a look at this beauty inspired by the dutch masters and this dusky floral-filled editorial all the way from Russia. Or for something a little more seasonal, this dreamy fine art shoot is perfect for Spring! Or for something more dark and dramatic this snowy bridal shoot was captured at an ancient British abbey.
