Romantic Spring Italian Vineyard Elopement

Photography - Irene Fucci

Today’s elopement inspiration transports you right to the heart of a stunning, yet often overlooked, part of Italy. Set in a winery in the Oltrèpo region, an area famed for producing a delicious rose sparkling wine, only a palette of pale pinks and Spring pastels would do for this beautifully intimate and elegant styled shoot…..

Charlotte, the planner and designer, from By Charlotte Weddings was inspired by ‘Cruasè’, a delicious sparkling rosè wine (similar to Prosecco) produced exclusively in the Oltrèpo region. Despite being only 30 minutes from Milan, the Oltrèpo is a hidden jewel yet to be discovered by mass tourism, and from these photos it looks absolutely beautiful…..

Here’s a few words about this gorgeous editorial from the fabulous creative team…. “The delicate colour palette was developed around the Cruasè wine’s rosè hue. Shades of green, representative of the natural beauty of the area, were combined with yellow and metallic touches to give a feel of decadent elegance.

The calligraphy by Nadia Leo of Manifattura Calligrafica was perfect: the hand-drawn detail of the location on the invitations, the authentic Italian vintage stamps, the delicate marbling and the golden torn edging – all details that make this stationary so special.

The florals by Sfumature di Cipria were fundamental in creating a romantic, ethereal and dusty feel to the shoot. The choice of flowers: antique roses, peonies, digitalis and ranunculi butterfly (which by chance were the same as the royal wedding) were perfect for this project.

The wedding dress by Nadia Manzato is delicate, romantic and with a hint of vintage, just perfect for this project. Leaving the back of the bride a little nude ready for the groom to hold it tight! Her make up, is luminous and natural.

We created two tables: one ultra romantic sweetheart table, surrounded by gorgeous suspended florals set in natural surroundings. Another elegantly simple table had the villa as the background, perfect for an intimate dinner with a few select friends and family. The decor is all fabulously vintage from the tableware and glassware to the candle holders.

The delicate marbling, the rosè hue and rough golden edging are details which continue through to the stunningly simple and elegant wedding cake created by Qualcosa di Dolc , who also created the amazing selection of desserts. A glass cabinet from ‘By Charlotte Weddings’ frames the wedding cake and makes this cake-moment ooze vintage charm, as does the dessert bar.”

Of course destination weddings are not only about the wedding day, but also the honeymoon! And this shoot beautifully captures the morning after with the groom playfully takes some snaps of his gorgeous new wife wearing a delicate lace robe from ‘Mes Petites Dentelles’ with a vintage brownie camera. You will find these photos and others in the gallery, so be sure to pop and take a peek before you go!

As always I would like to say a huge thankyou to the creative team who lent their talents to bring this inspiring editorial to life – and give us all a little glimpse of Italy. And especially to photographer Irene Fucci who captured it all so perfectly. If you love Irene’s images and would like to see more of her work do have a look at this gorgeous boho-vintage wedding inspiration from Apulia, and Beatrice & Gabriele’s on Viverone Lake is a little more wintery but equally stunning. And be sure to head on over to her website at www.irenefucci.it, and find & follow her on FacebookInstagramTwitter and Pinterest

Or if this shoot has you dreaming of an Italian destination wedding of your own, and looking for more inspiration from this beautiful country then you will love this timelessly romantic inspiration shoot at an Italian castle, or editorial captured at an 18th Century Italian villa, and  Valerie & Jesse’s Tuscan elopement is not to be missed!
