Rustic Vintage Weddings
A Rustic Vintage Winery Wedding at Hanging Tree Wines
BLESS PHOTOGRAPHYWe’re off to Australia for today’s charming celebration; where, with the help of friends and family, Megan & Chris threw the most inviting, rustic vintage wedding in the fabulous Hunter Valley…..
Drawing upon their venue and its natural surroundings the couple styled their relaxed celebration with recycled and re-purposed decor and details to give it really earthy feel. An abundance of greenery and native florals softened the look whilst vintage treasures, discovered in op-shops and antique stores, were used to add some timeless elegance.
Here’s photographer Tama Porter of Bless Photography to share a few more details… “Megan and Chris tied the knot at Hanging Tree Wines in the gorgeous Hunter Valley. They wanted the day to have a very relaxed vibe and planned it to be more like a garden party than a traditional wedding.
There was so much about this wedding that was unique – the unconventional venue, the mother of the bride made the bridal gown, the cake was made of cheese (perfect in wine country!) and as the evening wore on, the groom (much to his surprise) was called to the stage to perform a ballad for his guests.
Mates of the groom catered the event – the food was earthy and delicious. The live music was rocking. The vibe was chilled, intimate and fun and the celebrations continued long under the starry night sky.”
Doesn’t Chris and his groomsmen look fabulous? Smart yet relaxed – and most importantly comfortable!
I’m so in love with Megan’s gorgeous bouquet of foraged greenery! And her bridesmaids carried the same, only smaller.
The couple used delicious fresh local produce for their food. And it made the most wonderful, and colourful, decor too!
Megan’s understated and elegant gown was created by her Mom…. how clever is she?? I love the lace bodice.
The ceremony setting couldn’t have been more simple, or more stunning! The couple let the backdrop of the Hunter Valley shine…..
After the ceremony the couple and their bridal party slipped off for portraits whilst guests enjoyed drinks and vintage games in the Winery gardens….
Oh now this is my type of wedding!! Don’t you just love Megan & Chris’s laid back style? A huge congratulations to them and a big thankyou to their photographer Tamar of Bless Photography for letting me share their wedding with you.
