Midwinter Monochrome – Chic City Wedding Inspiration

Today’s inspiration board puts an understated yet elegant spin on a Winter wedding… and for a setting that is a little different to the garden celebrations I so often create for. This one is for all of you inner city chic couples looking to say ‘I do’…..

Bride – Callie Manion via Wedding Sparrow || Bridal Shoes – Jana Dillon via Grey Likes Weddings || Stationery Suite – Spurle Gul Studios, Photography Esmeralda Franco via Style Me Pretty || Wedding Cake – Adam Barnes via Ruffled || Ceremony Decor – Four Corners Photography via Ruffled || Engagement Ring – Simply Sarah Photography via Style Me Pretty|| Groom – Sylvie Gil via SMP

Much as I had a chic city celebration in mind when creating this board, this color palette would look equally opulent at a country estate or a marquee (adorned with chandeliers of course!) in a grand garden somewhere. And of course I have already shown how fabulous it can look at an unexpected venue like a barn! (you will find that inspiration board here if you missed it)

Whatever the venue, the key to this look is in the simplicity of the palette, so keep it black and white with shades of grey and pops of metallics (gold, silver or mixed would all work) And of course layer fabrics like velvet to add warmth and really up the luxe stakes.

Keep florals white, with an abundance of greenery, and decor to a minimum with texture being the key. So a white iced cake with geometric patterns, understated place settings with modern flatware and crystal cut glass, and of course plenty of candles for when the night draws in and the party starts!

If you would like to see some more perfect palettes for a Winter wedding  these 12 couldn’t be any lovelier and here you will find 10 alternative – yet romantic – Winter wedding colors, Or pop and take a peek at this elegant colour palette of coffee, bronze & gold, whilst for a touch of glamour you can’t beat garnet & gold!
