A magnificent country house with sweeping lawns is my idea of venue perfection! Add to it an elegant tablescape, a beautifully ruffled wedding cake and an understated yet chic colour palette, all inspired by heaven and earth, and well, you have today’s gorgeous inspiration shoot from Sharmila Photography and a garden wedding to die for…..

To tell us a little more about it, here are a few words from the planner and designer of the shoot Sonia of Clarity and Class “Our Heaven and Earth shoot was inspired by the luscious greenery of Earth and heavenly shades of white.  I immediately knew that I wanted to keep the color board minimal to accentuate the textures of both of my inspirations. Rust Manor House in Leesburg, Virgina provided the gorgeous back drop and all throughout our shoot we were serenaded with a warm spring air and the sounds of the inhabitants of the tall green forest nearby!

A moss runner was essential and the cornerstone to our shoot as I wanted to highlight the ground of the Earth.  I also scouted some beautiful scalloped vintage plates with a gold plated rim.  These were to symbolize the bountifulness of the Earth as a gift from Heaven.  Our cake was created with texture in mind to emphasize the originality that is inherent in nature with its delicate details.   The white and gold sparkly accents brought down a feeling of heaven to our theme and the feathers in both the models hair accessory and shoes paid homage to the heavenly angels.”
