Today I have another spectacular fall editorial for you, complete with an abundance of florals, rich Autumnal shades and a carpet of fallen leaves. Oh and if you love horses, you are going to be head over heels with its romantic take on an equestrian theme!

The lovely Gina of Shi Shi Events shared these words about her vision….. “Baker Creek Farm is a charming outdoor venue with several al fresco spaces for tenting and ceremonies. I chose Baker Creek because it was the perfect backdrop for the autumnal story I was looking to tell and I’ve always wanted to incorporate a horse into an editorial so it was a win all around.

The color palette was drawn from the moody tones that are of endless inspiration to me as well as a mix of neutrals which I love as forever wedding classics. There were so many spaces to create within onsite; we chose an area near the stables for our tablescape, cake and bar setup, and the perfect tree ensconced grove for our ceremony.

The cake was such a collective effort; one that produced a cake with which I’m still very much in love. The crisp white tiers offset an absolutely delicious swag of pampas grass, ranunculus and pepper berry and I love the horseshoes cradled by strands of textural ribbon and amaranthus. The hand lettered scroll on the cake reads “In a sea of people my eyes will always search for you.” Impossibly romantic.

The bar the cake was perched on was such fun to create! I especially loved the punch of color the ground cherries in the chalice brought and the fig pinwheels on the rocks glasses. The asymmetrical floral was really exciting as well and gave so much dimension and decadence to the bar.

The attire was meant to feel both modern and a bit bohemian while keeping classic roots. Our groom in that marsala suit was so dashing. More grooms should take risks with their fashion! And the bride in Lela Rose’s The Canyon was just a dream. From the fishtail braid to the burgundy velvet heels that tied at her ankle, she was top to bottom perfection.”

Molly Taylor and Co. took my ceremony vision and brought it to life even more exquisitely than I could have imagined. We centered the ceremony in the grove showcasing the lush, billowing, mature trees surrounding the space. Using a color palette of candlelit ivory, blush, honeyed coral, sienna, dusty rose, marsala and burgundy, the ceremony design centered around a horse jump backdrop adorned with orchids, dahlias, roses, hydrangea and smilax. A mix of pampas grass, hydrangea, roses and dahlias framed the front from the ground and created an aisle.

The tabletop was heavy with texture being layered in a faille linen with velvet and cheesecloth runners. Taper candles in cafe au lait and dove grey lent a romantic glimmer to the sweeping floral rich with dahlias, ranunculus, scabiosa and seasonal foliages. I wanted the tablescape to translate to a variety of venues; alternatives like vineyards and private estates in addition to country inns and b&bs or a barn wedding.
