Zuhair Murad’s 1930s Inspired 2019 Bridal Collection
Every year when bridal designers from all over the world descend on New York to unveil their latest collections, I wait with baited breath. And every year my heart skips a beat at my first glimpse! But for me never has a collection captured the very essence of Chic Vintage Brides and all I love, quite like this collection from Zuhair Murad…..
Inspired by the Art Deco era of the 1930s, and particularly New York’s Chrysler Building with architectural silhouettes and geometric details, the dresses are beautifully lavish with the flare Zuhair Murad is known for. Offering both softness and structure the collection includes beautiful off-the-shoulder ball gowns, deep V-necks, sheaths with a tiered overskirts, and full ballgowns.
Art Deco inspired embellishments and feathers hark back to Old Hollywood glamour and such sirens of the silver screen as Joan Crawford and Bette Davies, whislt maintaining a contemporary feel thanks to trompe l’oeil and tattoo-like effects. And for the romantics out there he incorporated lush floral embroideries (a big trend for 2019), corded lace and crystal appliqués. This collection really does have something for everyone…. and has me head over heels!
Isn’t it incredible?? I don’t think there is a single design in the whole collection that I don’t love! And as for the classic car….. *swoon* If you would like to see more from this fabulous designer do visit the Zuhair Murad website at www.zuhairmurad.com and be sure to stay up to date with all the latest news and collections by following him on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.
