5 Winter Wedding Must Haves
Having looked at the most perfect palettes, gorgeous bouquets, dashing grooms, magical tablescapes, wow bridesmaids and the yummiest wedding cakes for a Winter wedding, I do believe we are coming to the end of our Winter wander – just in time for the holidays! For today’s Snippets, Whispers & Ribbons, to finish of the series (ready to start afresh with Spring in the New Year!) I have found 5 fabulous finishes touches that will make any Winter wedding truly wonderful.…..
1. Something To Keep Everyone Snug
A snow-dusted landscape makes for an unforgettable ceremony, but whilst nerves, excitement and a chic coverup are sure to keep you cosy, don’t forget to consider your guests too! Pretty pashminas, wool throws or rustic blamkets make for great favours that will be appreciated on the day and cherished for years after……
Oh and unless you want goosebumps and chattering teeth in place of smiles in your photographs, remember something pretty and snug for your bridesmaids too…..
2. A Winter Wedding Dress
3. Romantic Lighting
Lighting is important at any wedding, but especially so in the Winter when the nights draws in early and days can be overcast. In exactly the same way the right lighting can transform a room at home, it can do the same to your wedding – ceremony and reception. For a Winter wedding, lighting should be soft, warm and romantic; enveloping your guests and adding to the ambience of your celebrations…..
4. A Yummy Winter Warmer
Rather than a cocktail hour, how about warming your guests with a yummy winter warmer from a Hot Chocolate (or coffee bar)? Wedding or not, there is nothing more comforting than a steaming hot mug of indulgent hot chocolate……
How about one of these delicious sounding drinks: easy gingerbread latte (top left), hot dulce du leche with chocolate (top right); or easy chai latte (bottom right) Or there’s nothing to say you can’t add something a little extra special – it is a celebration after all! so how about hot chocolate with cinnamon and orange liqueur??
Or boozy pumpkin white chocolate??…..
And don’t forget a cute sleeve!
5.A Seasonal Cocktail
And finish the evening with a festive cocktail that is guaranteed to keep the goosebumps at bay all night…..
Holiday Mule Cocktail – Home Sweet Jones
Pumpkin Pineapple & Rum – Cookie & Kate
Kahlua Eggnog – The Chic Table
Slow Cooker Mulled Wine – The View from Great Island
