A Romantic, Vintage-Inspired, Garden Wedding in the Algarve
PASSIONATE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHYKirsty & Sam chose a breathtaking destination to celebrate their love. In an intimate ceremony the couple exchanged their vows surrounded by friends and family, on the clifftops of the Algarve in Portugal. Kirsty explains “We choose abroad to keep it small and intimate and less stressful. To be honest we were both very laid back. We loved Passionate our photographers so let them guide us and help with some decisions – and we’re glad we did, because they had great taste.”
A neutral color palette, with hints of pink and lashings of gold and greenery kept their celebration natural and complimented the lush gardens of their beautiful venue – Pine Cliffs. The sun shone throughout their wedding and Kirsty looked stunning in her strapless embellished gown by Sottero and Midgley with its romantic sweetheart neckline. Whilst Sam was super stylish and remained cool in a tan suit and a dapper blue bowtie.
“I found dress shopping a struggle. I ended up with the opposite to what I imagined. A gorgeous heavily beaded vintage Sottero and Midgley dress, which I paired with soft pink/nude shoes from L. K. Bennett.”
“Our flowers were gorgeous! (the pictures show them off perfectly) Tulips were my main flower to honour my late mother as these were her favourite. In a mix of pinks, natural colours and greenery.”
Pearls of wedding wisdom from the bride….
“Take it easy. The day will go smoothly it always does…… And don’t get caught up on the smaller details – life’s too short!”
“I loved the ceremony. But our favourite part of the day was after getting to spend time with all our guests and enjoying the intimate food setting. The sunset from the cliff tops was pretty special!”
“We didn’t have traditional favors, instead we donated to Cancer research in memory of my mum.”
“Our wedding cake was 3 tiers of pure yumminess. We went for a semi naked cake with fresh green florals…. It was perfect!”
Tell us a little about your photographers…..
“Simple.. It wouldn’t have been the same without them. I couldn’t recommend them more they were perfect.. Knew exactly what to do and the pictures prove that. We can’t thank them enough!”
You can’t beat a good destination wedding! And Kirsty & Sam’s wedding was perfection – many many congratulations to them both!
