Today’s editorial is a timelessly romantic celebration of one of my favourite color pairings – blush and rose gold. Perfect for Springor Summer it features dusky seasonal blooms with feathers, wispy ferns and pops of pinky red, as well as a dreamy greenery backdrop that would be perfect for a ceremony, sweetheart table or cake display. All captured against the blank canvas of the fabulous Marion Hatcher Center …..

Here’s a few words about the shoot from florist and lady with the vision Rebekah of Florologie…… “I’ve been inspired by fine art florals for some time and wanted the opportunity to play with this style without restriction.

The shoot takes place at the Marion Hatcher Center, which is an old mansion with lots of charming details, but is also newly renovated. The home has a bit of a dark past – it was built in honor of a woman that was abused in a nursing home, but is now rented out as a wedding and business venue.

The stationery artist, Shana from Iris & Marie Press, creates the most beautiful, high-quality stationery that I have every seen in person. She hand paints each invitation suite, and embosses them on a huge, old letterpress.

We also had a vintage seller and vintage rental company bring some props for us to use – all the china, candlesticks, some of the furniture, and the venue is all vintage. Lastly, the model, Alice, actually works at Elegant Bridals, which is where we got the dress. Normally she sells the dresses, but for this shoot she got to pick one and play dress-up!”
