Spring Citrus – Chic Wedding Inspiration in Soft Yellow & Slate Blue
Spring has truly sprung for many of you, and to celebrate I have an inspiration board that abounds with florals and hints at the long Summer days to come. A beautiful mix of soft golden yellow and delicate slate blues it exudes warmth, as well as romance and a sense of relaxed luxury – especially with the groom and groomsmen donning the dapper traditional tux!

Whilst I had Spring in mind when creating this inspiration board, the hint of gold and mustard in the yellow makes the palette just as perfect for a late Summer or early Autumn wedding – when the leaves start to turn and the sun sits lower in the sky, but the days are still long and warm. Whatever time of year you decide on though, think an outdoor celebration lush with seasonal blooms – roses, ranunculus and golden amaranth come in the perfect shade of yellow.
Choose somewhere like a vineyard or country estate and allow the natural beauty of your venue be your decor. Vintage pews for your ceremony seating and farmhouse style wooden tables for the reception would add to the sense of relaxed elegance. Add coloured glassware to your tablescape for a hint of luxury, and you can always embrace this year’s biggest trend to create some budget friendly opulence, by adding some lush greenery to your centerpieces and floral designs. And I absolutely love the idea of a signature cocktail infused with tangy citrus flavours for your guests to enjoy!
If you have your heart set on a Spring celebration but aren’t in love with this colour palette you will find plenty of other wedding colours and inspiration boards in CVB’s archives. Like this romance-fest in rose quartz and serenity blue, and this elegant aquamarine affair. For a floral filled garden wedding nothing looks lovelier than rose and emerald, or for an alternative to the traditional pretty pastels this beautiful jewel inspired palette will take your breath away!
