Spring Elegance – Wedding Inspiration in a Lush Spring Colour Palette
I am more than a little bit smitten with today’s Spring wedding inspiration board! The fresh colour palette was inspired by those welcome first buds that let us know warmer days are on their way. Mixed with a splash of gold and a hint of sparkle, it is elegant, lush, utterly timeless and my idea of heaven!…..

I have been obsessed with Swan House ever since I shared this exquisite styled shoot, and with its magnificent grounds I thought it would make the perfect venue for a Spring celebration. For an elegant Spring wedding anywhere though think a historical venue or home with beautiful gardens bathed in sunlight, ornate wrought iron ceremony seating and portraits on the lawn before moving indoors to continue the festivities.
The key to this simple palette looking pretty and modern is to keep your green natural! Add shades of the colour with foliage and florals (a top trend for 2016), then layer highlights of ivory and gold throughout for a touch of refined luxury. Give extra depth to this simple colour palette through texture and delicate details – don’t you just LOVE this gilded Mr & Mrs wedding cake?

If you’re looking for timeless elegance then it must be a tuxedo for the groom & groomsmen! Whilst I love a traditional black tux, a rich blue would be a softer, and slightly less formal, alternative for Spring. And this is such a perfect palette for bridesmaids too! Choose mismatched ivory or muted gold tones, just keep dresses long, fabrics floaty and updos soft for the perfect Spring look. And when it comes to your dress, anything goes – lace, tulle or satin; trumpet, a-line or sheath; this is a theme that suits them all!
