The historic Palo Alto Plantation in Onslow County again takes centre stage in today’s charming seasonal wedding editorial. Its history filled rooms, and antique furniture provide the perfect Fall palette of rich browns and cream, complimenting the floral arrangements on show with their ‘just-picked’ feel. A simply styled tablescape adds to the understated elegance of the shoot, whilst the cherry topped drizzle cake adds a contemporary twist and is sure to make your mouth water. It’s impossible to be anything but smitten with this classic take on a Southern belle and her big day!

Here’s Nicole of Darling Today with a few words about the shoot….. “I wanted to capture the essence of a southern fall bride.  The Palo Alto Plantation House  is always a beautiful backdrop and its in-house furnishings is perfect for any bride looking for that antebellum charm. I wanted to do something different with this fall color palette.  I wanted to represent the often warmer fall months we have here down in the south with the warm oranges and yellows of the ranunculus and include antique pinks and salmon ribbon for a romantic pairing.  The dress by Weekend Wedding Dress is, in my eyes, reflective of a southern belle and elements of the dress, such as the laced bodice back, give off a romantic appeal. The cake by Sugar, Cream, and Peonies takes on a more traditional fall look with layers of spice and chocolate cake and spiced vanilla buttercream and chocolate drizzle.”
