Following on from my recent Snippets, Whispers & Ribbons dedicated to the most dapper of Grooms and fabulous of Bridesmaids, this week I have decided to turn my attention to the detail that creates one of your guests final impressions of your big day – the wedding cake!

Wedding blogs and websites are positively overflowing with fabulous wedding cakes that are not only inspirational extensions of the bride & groom’s personalities but also creative pieces of art, almost too beautiful to cut up!

4. But wedding cakes don’t have to be fancy in their decoration – I for one adore elegantly simple cakes like this Autumn Wedding Cake (from a most incredible Inspiration Shoot that became a surprise wedding)

5. Or expensive, to be both tasty and unforgettable. This Oreo Wedding Cake remains one of CVB’s most repinned images!
