Romantic Great Gatsby Wedding Inspiration
CAITLIN JOYCE PHOTOGRAPHYLots of lovely inspiration shoots lands in my inbox each day, and I feel so lucky to be able to share each and every one. Occasionally though one comes along that floors me with its perfect styling and creativity, and today’s vision of romance and Gatsby inspired glamour from Caitlin Joyce is just such a shoot!
Where could be more fitting to create a Great Gatsby inspired wedding that a venue that opened the year before F. Scott Fitzgerald published the classic novel? Samantha of the fabulous Congressional Country Club wanted to recreate the glitz and glamour of the iconic era with their historic space as the backdrop, and the ladies at the East Made Event Company kept it contemporary with some modern design details.
An adundance of florals in the prettiest shades of soft purple, by Sweet Root Village, add romance in the form of a floral table runner andcascading bouquet with Juliet roses, peonies and cottage garden blooms adding the hint of vintage. Evoke Calligraphy created beautiful confetti toss inspired stationery, and the chefs at Congressional created a lavish menu that Jay Gatsby would have been proud to serve to his guests – with appetizers of charcoal roasted baby beets and local chicken fried oyster, and a main course of persillade crusted rack of lamb, finished off with berry-themed dessert shooters from the “berry bar” for dessert.
Our modern day Daisy delighted in not one but two Art Deco inspired gowns, as well as a gorgeous flapper style headpiece just like the one that adorned Carey Mulligan’s perfectly marcel waved hair in the Baz Luhrman film! Whilst our brides beaded gowns and glittering gold accessories added the required glamour, Rachel Lane kept her look romantic with a soft updo and understated makeup.
Absolutely fabulous don’t you think?? Every single stylish detail captures the elegance of the era gloriously; whilst the pretty pastel palette gives it a contemporary charm. I can’t thank the creative team behind this beauty (listed below) enough, especially Caitlin Joyce for photographing it so perfectly. If you love this shoot and her photography as much as I do, do pop over to Caitlin’s website www.caitlinjoyce.com to see more of her timeless photography – and don’t forget to follow her on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest.

Why not start with this truly stunning shoot with Downton Abbey inspired elegance, or take a peek at this celebration with a glamorous speakeasy vibe, and I just know you will love this gorgeous Gatsby inspired shoot. Oh and if you’ve only just started out on your wedding planning path, and are giving any thought to having an e-sesh take a look at this one – it is fab-u-lous!
