Lemonade & Love – Outdoor Wedding Inspiration in Shades of Yellow & Green
Good morning lovelies! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Ours was sun filled and fabulous, and left me feeling all inspired! As my last inspiration board was distinctly Autumnal (full of gorgeous jewel shades take a look here if you missed it) I decided today’s should have more of a lighter summery feel. And nothing says Summer like lemonade and the fresh citrus shades of yellow and green……

Evoking long, warm, sun-drenched days, citrus shades are perfect for a Summer wedding, whilst the softer, romantic shades of primrose yellow and honeydew melon green create a pretty contrast. This colour palette works so well for an outdoor wedding, think garden, meadow or woodland; anywhere lush and green! I think these shades are rather lovely on their own, but if you wanted to add another colour, bright orange or red would look glorious.

The Wedding Dress
It would have to be this Temperley London dress for me! The exquisite floral lace on the bodice is perfect for an outdoor wedding and the chic layered skirt (that gives it a slightly Edwardian silhouette) just oozes glamour and grace….. I love it!
Or for something a little simpler in style and silhouette, this Reem Acra gown is elegant and perfectly topped off by those pretty beaded cap sleeves…..
Or if you’re looking for something strapless, how about this figure-flattering column gown from Theia? I love how the petite floral embellishments cascade down the dress, growing in volume at the hem…..
It’s All In The Details
Arches are the perfect way to create an aisle for an outdoor wedding – a charming focal point for the ceremony and a pretty backdrop for those all important portraits. As well as a DIY project for the groom or father of the bride perhaps?? They look just gorgeous decorated with flowers or drapes (or both).

Outdoor weddings don’t have to lack opulence or elegance. Whilst tables can be simple and rustic, centrepieces and tableware can be lavish and luxurious to suit the occasion. Citrus fruits with their bright skins make the perfect seasonal (and affordable) addition to your centrepieces, as well as your wedding breakfast menu.

And of course they make the perfect refreshments! You can ask almost anyone, and I’m certain they’ll agree, there isn’t a drink more refreshing, or quintessentially summer, than lemonade. Naturally this tipple has a little something extra, this is a wedding after all! Take a peek here for the recipe…..
