Today’s lush greenery-filled wedding editorial was inspired by the creative teams love of fresh garden hues and the wonderful Mexican culture that abounds in San Antonio. Set in the grounds of The Veranda, a stunning space that was created in 1931 for an oil baron and his artist wife, which beautifully captures this culture and the spirit of the rich history of the area; there is so much to love about this inspiration shoot! The soft spring color palette, romantic styling and gorgeous green wedding cake to name but a few…..

Event planner Julianna of Pen & Whistle Design Co. shared these words about the shoot….. “The design for our shoot was inspired by the rich culture of San Antonio and our love of fresh garden hues. The venue The Veranda really brings out traditional Mexican architecture in a very modern way.

The flowers by The Vintage Bouquet Bar are very lush with interesting textures being created by the more unconventional types of flowers and greenery.

The tablescape was my favorite thing to style. The vintage dish set was an easy choice because of its beautiful detailing on the rim. The brass candlesticks added a vintage feel. The cascading greenery of English Ivy gave the table a look of absolute elegance.

The cake created by 2Tarts Bakery is simple yet modern with its unique color and floral detailing – we wanted to create something that is not seen often in a wedding cake.

This shoot was all about creating dimension. The dress was chosen with this in mind. The softness of the sleeves and the intricate detailing on the bodice was what set this dress apart from others.”
