This is my 5th year of blogging, and yet seeing the new bridal collections sashay down the catwalk never gets boring! Every year I look forward to the latest lace, silk, and tulle fantasies being unveiled, and ever year they wow me more and more; but never more so than the exquisite offerings for 2017. Today, I am sharing ‘La Ciel’, the very latest collection from Pronovias and it truly is exquisite…..

Pronovias is renowned for creating sophisticated fairytale bridal gowns that highlight femininity with an emphasis on the most stunning silhouettes; and their latest offering for 2017 is no different. ‘La Ciel’, or the sky, is a collection of weightless gowns with delicate lace, gossamer thin chiffon, wispy feathers, floral appliqué and flowing capes.

Bias cut crepe, so perfect for the Art Deco loving bride, feature heavily but are softened with delicate detailing and crystal embellished sleeves. Whilst for the bold, modern-vintage bride thigh high splits add a sassy sophistication to otherwise demure gowns with long sleeves and bateau necklines. And for those of you who really want to make a style statement there are see-through dresses galore! Created from the most beautiful floral appliqued laces they somehow manage to be both outrageously ostentatious and delightfully pretty.

The back is a major focal point in this collection, sometimes embellished with gemstones and delicate hand-embroidery; or adorned with feather epaulettes, tulle shoulder streamers, and Watteau trains. In fact trains featured on dress after dress, from fully draped lace cathedral trains fit for a Princess to detachable trains, so you can be bridal at the ceremony and sexy for the reception!

There are also nods to the current Victoriana trend with high necks, embellished yokes and long lace sleeves, as well as regal touches with voluminous ballgowns, reminiscent of that dress worn by the Duchess of Cambridge. And of course, no Pronovias collection would be complete without their hallmark mermaid silhouettes!

This really is a collection that guarantees ALL eyes will be on you as you float down the aisle…..
