Frosted Cranberry – Cranberry, Gold & Winter White Wedding Inspiration
Christmas Eve Eve….. wow has Christmas come around quick this year! I am finally feeling more prepared for it after a weekend of shopping and wrapping (accompanied of course by Love Actually and a glass of sherry) – how about you, are you on top of everything for Christmas? Last Christmas I went with a fabulous emerald and silver colour palette for my seasonal inspiration board, but this year I have chosen a rich, dark cranberry red with winter white and a splash of gold for warmth……

Doesn’t it just exude opulence and glamour? Think Cranberries touched with frost, twinkling Christmas lights, open fires and dazzling gold finishing touches (decor, table settings and stationery) In fact, it is far too pretty a palette to be kept just for Christmas!

A seasonal wedding calls for a wow wedding dress (did you see my selection of seasonal sparklers?) like these gorgeous Art Deco infused delights from Gwendolynne……
Or how about a bit of Hollywood glamour from Johanna Johnson like The Monaco…..
Or if you prefer lace to satin try the Geshwin…..
Or if you are looking for long sleeves then Temperley London‘s Iris Collection has the beautiful Jessamine or Florence……….
Or be bold and choose a coloured wedding dress like this elegant pocketed dress from Elie Saab’s Fall/Winter Haute Couture Collection – with its bateau neckline and full skirt, it has a 1950s feel but with a modern edge (I could see Audrey Hepburn wearing this with her beautiful auburn hair)…..
or with long sleeves to keep out the winter chill…..
If you prefer authentic vintage then take a peek at The Vintage Mistress on Etsy (you may remember when I shared some of her exquisite gowns on Chic Vintage Brides back in September) Elizabeth has an incredible collection of vintage wedding dresses in the most perfect condition I have ever seen! How about this delightful 1950s wedding gown so aptly named Elegance…..
Or, with more lace and tulle, Whisper……
If long sleeves aren’t for you take a peek at CVBs Chic Vintage Capes, Coats and Coverups on Pinterest for some perfect accessories to keep you snug. Or I have whole boards of Cranberry and Christmas Wedding Inspiration.
Are any of you planning a Christmas wedding? Or about to be married? Are you going with traditional seasonal colours or something a little different? Oh and some words of wisdom for any brides about to walk down the aisle, keep calm and marry on – honestly, it will all come together on the day.
Just 2 more sleeps until Christmas peeps!!
