Ethereal Romance – Breathtakingly Romantic Wedding Inspiration in the Softest Shades
When it comes to color I have always been a lover of everything rich and bold, but of late I find myself somewhat taken by neutrals, in all of their delicate and ethereal elegance. So its fair to say I am more than a little head over heels with today’s romantic inspiration board, where the drama is in the lack of colour, with just the lightest gossamer grey, pinks and soft sand combining to create the prettiest of palettes…..

As well as being oh-so-romantic, this mix of soft neutral shades evokes an understated sense of luxury thanks to the mix of textiles and metallics. And there is more than a hint of olde world charm reflected in the styling, with candlesticks, calligraphy and silverware.
When it comes to settings and venues, the possibilities are endless I think when it comes to this palette. From an industrial inner city space to a lavish country pile somewhere, it would evoke a timeless elegance! In fact, I like to imagine a destination wedding, with a ceremony overlooking Lake Como followed by a sumptuous celebration in one of the historic hotels….. But it doesn’t have to be an extravagant (and expensive) celebration to achieve this look. Florals don’t have to be lush, but rather refined and simple, with seasonal greenery and a mix of blooms that allows the palette to shine. Add further elegance to a simpler venue with candelabras, ornate flatware and vintage treasures.
Isn’t it heavenly? If you’re not head over heels with these pretty shades, or if its early days in your wedding planning process, and you want to see more ethereal wedding colours and inspiration boards then you might want to take a peek at this romantic take on a soft Spring color palette, or this dreamy beach wedding inspiration board! And this blush beauty couldn’t be any pretties or more perfect for Summer.
