Aisle Style – Arch Inspiration
There are no words for the overwhelming wave of emotion that sweeps over you on your big day as you stand at the top of the aisle and take the first steps towards your soon to be husband. After so much anticipation it is the first chance you and your guests see the culmination of all those months of planning, and it is an incredibly emotional and magical moment that goes all too quickly. So many of my favourite memories and photos are from those moments (and of course those that followed)
Whether you are getting married in a church, a restaurant, beach, garden or woodland copse a dramatic aisle can transform any venue, as well as create an amazing ambiance for exchanging your vows and a beautiful backdrop for your all important photos. So for my first Aisle Style post I have some inspirational aisle arches for you floral wooden or DIY; rustic, glam, or whimsical; Spring, Summer, Autumn or Wedding I have ideas for you all! ……

Who could forget the wonderful church yard aisle from Kate Moss’s fabulous big day, whilst the ceremony took place inside the church, walking this flower lined aisle must have been magical!

Aisle arches don’t have to be floral or glamorous to create an impact, rustic arches work just as well as and are much more DIYable – imagine walking under or being married before something crafted by your own hands. I love the way some branches have been hung around this wooden arch…..
Branch Aisle Arch with Monogram
Being a Winter bride, and with our ceremony starting just as the sun was setting, lighting was my choice of decor. Beautifully fragranced votive candles sat atop the mantle piece creating the most lovely soft light, so I love the idea of lighting the aisle arch to give it that extra touch of romance…..
If you love that last picture then keep an eye out for the next Aisle Style post coming soon, it is packed full of the prettiest ideas for lighting your aisle and ceremony!
To be fair its not often I don’t want to do it all again, but all these ideas for aisles……definitely a wooded wonderland if I can ever get Mr E to agree!
