Rustic Vintage Weddings
A Vintage Italian wedding into the Fields of Tuscany
Photography by Slow Picture StudioToday’s rustic, joy-filled wedding takes place in one of my favourite countries, Italy. After several years living in China, Chiara and Lorenzo really missed all they had grown up with: glasses of wine with friends, sun, good food under the blue sky….. This was all they wanted for their wedding. Something special from everyday life, nothing more. And their celebration embodies the saying that ‘simplicity is the essence of happiness’….
So when it came to planning their wedding they wanted to draw on their past. Recreate some of their childhood memories. Having Sunday lunch with relatives outside in the countryside, with simple homemade food. Relaxing after lunch, lying on the grass waiting for the sun to set…..
Bride Chiara told me “We wanted just to recreate a typical Tuscan party. Sun shining, wind in your hair, good wine and food, good vibes.
We didn’t want to plan too much. We just wanted to relax and enjoy our day. SO we kept everything simple – including our attire.”
How’s that for a backdrop to a wedding ceremony?? I love how they kept the decor simple, letting the landscape wow.
FAVOURITE MOMENT
Dancing with parents and friends during the sunset.
THE PHOTOGRAPHY
AMAZING. They caught the essence of our wedding: relaxing and simplicity
As always a big thankyou to the happy couple Chiara & Lorenzo for allowing me to share their magical day with you. And also to their photographer Slow picture studio who captured it all so perfectly. If you love Agnese and Cristina’s images and would like to see more of their work do head on over to their website at www.slowpicturestudio.com and find & follow them on Facebook and Instagram!
Or if Chiara & Lorenzo’s dreamy Tuscan celebration has you dreaming of an Italian wedding of your own, and looking for more inspiration from this romantic country then you might like to take a look at this beautiful Bronze affair from Piedmont, or this enchanting Spring Vineyard elopement editorial or this elegant editorial captured at an 18th Century Italian villa. And Valerie & Jesse’s Tuscan elopement is not to be missed!
