Fabulously Retro Melbourne Wedding
I first spotted this decidedly funky retro wedding on Ruffled, and following my You Are My Sunshine post last week, featuring some fabulous tea length wedding dresses, I didn’t hesitate in asking the incredibly talented photographer Stewart from S Leishman, if he would kindly allow me to share his gorgeous images on CVB, and well, here they are….
Sewart‘s photos really grabbed my attention, particularly the stylish black and white sets! However, I would have to add he was lucky enough to have a rather fantastically funky (not to mention photogenic) bride and groom in Tina and Shainne, to work with.
As well as the gorgeous photos there are two things I love about this wedding. Firstly how relaxed and at ease Tina and Shainne are. This is so clearly a wedding styled on what they love, how they live, not to be fashionable but to be true to their personalities. They had such a clear idea of the look and feel they were trying to achieve “We envisaged a small, casual wedding inspired by the natural surroundings, architecture and mid century style of our venue, the Boyd Baker House.”
Secondly how Tina and Shainne made their wedding unique with incredible DIY touches – including the beautiful bride Tina designing her own wedding dress (true! oh to be so creative and talented)
Groom Shainne looks befittingly dapper in his mod-esque attire……
OK, I am going to shush up and let Stewart‘s photos do the talking…….
I love these first look photos, the way Shainne seems to be trying so hard not to peek……
OK, I take back what I said earlier, there’s not two things I love about this wedding…..I love EVERYTHING about this wedding! The lush and perfectly retro venue, the splash of red, the super stylish bride and groom, the DIY floral centre pieces, the photo booth paper moon….and last, but by no means least, these awesome photos!
Hope you love this wedding as much as I do
