It has been such a long time since I last shared something from Mignonne Handmade – too long in fact! For many of you this could well be the first time you have seen anything of this Chic Vintage Brides favourite on these pages. So let me start by telling you a little something about this lovely little brand. Mignonne Handmade is a purveyor of fine, handmade bridal accessories and clothing with more than a hint of vintage romance and timeless elegance. Made with love using old school techniques and vintage millinery tools but with a modern eye, each design is created by maker and owner Jennifer Wood with a real personal touch and passion for high quality. “Our products are handmade in small, made to order batches keeping in the tradition of fine artisan quality workmanship, we also produce limited, one of a kind pieces every month. Our aim is to provide unique and timeless pieces for the modern, non traditional bride and woman.”

With Mignonne Handmade‘s 2014 collection Jennifer looked to nature creating opulent vintage inspired veils and headpieces adorned with floral embellishments, hand made silk blooms and beaded blossoms, all in the prettiest palette of blush and pink, perfectly capturing the beauty and delicacy in nature. Whilst the colour palette remains the same, Jenn’s latest offerings are more ethereal and simple. A collection of veils with clean lines and little embellishment: a splash of lace, a burst of shimmering gold polka dots or a dash of bronze; that are no less elegant or beautiful for their simplicity. If you are looking for an understated utterly affordable accessory (prices start at just $40!) with a timeless sophistication then look no further…..

There’s also a super sweet little short film to accompany the collection – it’s one and a half minutes of sheer heaven so well worth a watch. I’ll hand over to Jennifer to introduce it……”This piece by Imaginale Design, is amazing! When I asked her to come and get some footage of our shoot with Ace & Whim, I had no idea she was going to create such a perfect piece of visual art – though since she has never disappointed before, I really should have known! The song by Inky Callora is beyond perfect I just love everything about it, hope you enjoy it too!”

Imaginale Design and Mignonne Handmade are obviously a match made in heaven! And Jennifer’s appreciation of her work is mutual “Mignonne Handmade is one of my favorite, local boutiques here in Arizona and it is always inspiring to film things that I visually resonate with. My approach to this film was to keep it raw and romantic. I spent a good amount of time searching for the right vocals to really highlight the nostalgic mood of the footage I filmed.”
