En Tus Papilas – A Breathtaking 19th Century Inspired Wedding Styled Shoot in Lima
I am sure I have mentioned before how I love a styled shoot. They give the vendors involved a creative freedom that, understandably, isn’t always available to them when they are working on your wedding; and this creative freedom inevitably results in something unforgettable. Today’s beauty from Claire Morgan and A Very Beloved Wedding is the perfect example of this…..
Filled with Latin American drama and 19th century elegance, it abounds in romance and swoonworthy bridal fashion – I am loving the high neckline and long sleeves of the lace wedding dress by Jose Miguel Valdivia, and not to mention the bride’s sleek finger waved updo!
Here are Claire & Elisabeth, to tell you in their own words a little bit about the shoot and the inspiration behind it “This styled shoot is based one of the most influential aspects of Lima: Colonialism. Inspired by Lima´s historic architecture, we brought in elements of Spanish elegance and Peruvian tradition.
We were inspired by a Swiss author named Von Tschudi, who travelled throughout Peru between the years 1838 and 1842 and wrote a book called “Peru: Reiseskizzen”. In his travel sketches, he describes Lima being the oldest and most interesting city founded by the Spaniards in South America: Lima the colonial.
Between shadow and light, being a quiet but hoping soul, being a woman getting married, deep and forbidden love…those are the words and feelings that describe this Styled Shoot.”
Isn’t it gorgeous?? Thankyou to the whole fabulous team listed below for creating such a beautiful shoot. And especially to the ridiculously talented Claire Morgan for capturing everything so perfectly, and for allowing me to share it with you here. You can see more of her lovely fine art photography here on Chic Vintage Brides or over on her website www.claire-morgan.com. And if you love her work as much as I do, don’t forget to follow her on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.
