The Sweetest Vintage Engagement Shoot at an Ice-cream Parlour
Today’s super sweet engagement shoot from Sambajoy photography is guaranteed to have you smitten! Proof that all you need to create a lovely e-sess is one loved up couple, a fabulous location, a couple of simple yet stylish outfits and a photographer to capture the magic; it brings a smile to my face every time I look at it…..
Don’t they look fabulous in their vintage ensembles, and aren’t they just adorable?? Other than their whispered sweet nothings, another reason I think this shoot works so well is the clever colour palette. The mixture of blues and greys with pops of burgundy and highlights of yellow is gorgeous!
Here’s a few words from Madalena, one half of Sambajoy, to tell us a little bit about the shoot and its location…. “When Sam and Steven talked to me about their engagement session, they said they wanted something vintage inspired and they asked me for location suggestions, as they are newcomers in Winnipeg, Canada. I suggested a humble local ice cream store, with art deco architecture and mid century appeal. Sam told me she loves ice cream so it seemed like fate! When I called the place to ask them to let me shoot there, I also cheekily asked if I could put their names in the sign outside…. and the owners were kind enough to say yes! I actually had NO idea I could, but it doesn’t cost to ask and I’m so glad I did. I treated the couple to an ice cream, of course. And sadly it turns out this cute place will be demolished next month – so, it seems it really was fate and I am so glad I suggested it!”
Many congratulations and much love to the happy couple Sam and Steven, and a huge thanks to photographers Madalena & Marcelo of Sambajoy for allowing me to share their sweet engagement shoot.
