Twigs & Honey’s Refined 2013 Collection
The fabulous Twigs & Honey was one of my first blogging (and Etsy) discoveries, I only wish it had been a discovery I made before getting married. Myra Kim, the lovely lady behind all of the adornments and accessories, with a taste for earthy natural forms and architectural structure, and a soft spot for both vintage and modern aesthetics, has such an eye for detail! Each collection never fails to take my breath away – and this her latest work is bound to have every bride swooning…..
Who else could Myra call upon to capture her precious latest collection, but the inimitable Elizabeth Messina with her eye for the perfect portrait (you can see more of her wonderful work on her inspirational blog Kiss The Groom). With beautiful gowns from Leanne Marshall and Myra Callan Bridal (is there no end to the ladies talents?), hair and makeup by Erin Skipley and styling by Tricia Fountaine, the team created a beautifully dreamy inspiration-shoot that captures all the romance and elegance of the collection…..
Utterly gorgeous! I love Twigs & Honey‘s completely fresh interpretation of bridal hair adornments – delicately hand pressed petals of silk and lace atop a mini bridal hat, softly hand manipulated feathers curled to perfection, and hand stitched tulle veils…. The 2013 collection is a move on from the romantic and whimsical 2012 collection, with more structure and tailoring and an extra dash of glamour, it is (if possible) even more refined. With vines and wraps, veils and headbands, crowns and combs, all created from a fresh blend of silk petals, wire beads, gilded blooms and Swarovski flowers; each piece would truly help create a memorable bridal look…..
The only difficulty will be in choosing just one! I would have to choose the Antique Crystal Headwrap (pictured above)…or maybe the super pretty Cherry Blossom and Crystal Headband…… how about you?
