Cranberry Christmas – Wedding Inspiration in a Traditional Christmas Colour Palette
Just 2 more sleeps until Christmas!! And, for the third year in a row, I am celebrating Christmas Eve’s Eve with the perfect Winter wedding inspiration board. This year in my favourite Yuletide colour scheme, a beautifully traditional colour palette of red, green and gold…..

Nothing says the holiday season quite like the combination of these three colours! Inspired by cranberries and fir trees, dusted with snow and with just a hint of gold for warmth and glamour, it is guaranteed to get everyone into the Christmas spirit – and ready for a celebration. Think chestnuts roasting on an open fire…. OK, so maybe not, but still if ever there was a time to infuse your wedding with everything you love, Christmas is it! Choose a menu of comforting Winter food, warming cocktails and perhaps a Cocoa bar (or eggnog bar!) for later. Most venues will have their own Christmas decorations, so check the colour scheme with them – you might be able to save a few pennies. Otherwise keep your decor natural with centrepieces of fir branches, pine cones and cranberries. Or for a little more romance and opulence you could add some rich red roses! And of course don’t forget a bunch of mistletoe at the top of the aisle for your first kiss!

How delicious does that cake look? And I love the idea of a candy cane hot cocoa mix as a favour for your guests! For the boys, you simply can’t go wrong with a classic tuxedo for a formal celebration, or for something a little more laid back a sharp and chic black suit. This is also such a beautiful colour palette for your bridesmaids! I would shy away from the bright shade of red, and instead opt for a deeper, darker tone which is so much more flattering and no less glamorous. Or mismatched golds would look super pretty for a decadent and elegant look that your girls will love.
If you would like to see some more perfect palettes for a Winter wedding how about this rich and romantic plum & gold board, or this elegant colour palette of coffee, bronze & gold, or for something a little more neutral, this snow dusted Winter Wonderland? Or if it’s Christmas inspiration your’re after, take a peek at this rustic charmer and keep an eye out for tomorrow’s post – if you love this, you are going to be completely smitten with tomorrow’s inspiration shoot!!
