Top 10 Fall Wedding Colours for 2016 from Pantone – Part II
After sharing 5 of Pantone’s Top 10 Colours for Autumn 2016 – you can’t possibly have forgotten those lovely blues and neutrals (if you missed them, or just want a reminder, you can see them here) – today I am back with Part II, which packed with poppy exotic shades that radiate warmth, couldn’t be more different….or more lovely!
Anything but muted or neutral these vibrant picks are, at first look, quite the surprise choice for an Autumn wedding. With an almost tropical feel they might seem better suited to a Summer or destination celebration. Take a closer look though and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised (I definitely was!) Their sophisticated depth makes them as versatile as they are unexpected…..
Dusty Cedar
A dusty rose-toned pink, Dusty Cedar 18-1630 is reminiscent of the gorgeous Marsala from 2015, but with more of a hint of pink (Pantone are saying it is their Autumn nod to Rose Quartz) It is warm, luxurious and the perfect shade for Fall!

Lush Meadow
A vibrant and sophisticated green, Lush Meadow 18-5845 could well be my favourite of all Pantone’s picks for 2016! With a brightness and depth of color that gives it a timeless elegance, the likes of which we haven’t seen since Emerald, it lends itself perfectly to the greenery trend expected to be so strong this year (and next!)…..

Spicy Mustard
Spicy Mustard 14-0952 is another vibrant shade, with a hint of the tropics, that works surprisingly well for an Autumn wedding. I love the idea of mixing it with grounding neutrals for a rustic, outdoor wedding…..

Potters Clay
I wasn’t convinced by this pick, until I saw the shade and then I realised it was less Potters Clay and more Cinnamon! A neutral earth tone, hints of dusky orange and bronze make this brown anything but boring! Add mixed metallics for an understated elegance (a little like this board), or lift with red, cobalt or indeed spicy mustard for a surprising Autumn palette…..

Bodacious
The last of Pantone’s picks may well be the prettiest – it is certainly the most unexpected! Bodacious 17-3240 is a bright rich purple with undertones of pink that would make it a more natural choice for Summer….but that may be the very thing that makes this beautiful shade such a perfect palette for Fall – especially for the bold bride looking to make a statement!

Aren’t they lush? So vibrant and fun… I can’t wait to start seeing them making an appearance! What do you think? Any of you Autumn brides-to-be been wooed by one of these gorgeous hues?
