Snippets, Whispers & Ribbons
I have been home alone this week with Mr E paying a fleeting visit to the other side of the world for his best friend’s wedding….which will be happening right now as I am typing this 🙂 I can not tell you how much it pains me to miss a wedding, as well as a week with my wonderful husband and our friends! But I can not wait to see him and all of the photos when he lands on Monday! In the mean time, nothing cheers me more than perusing this week’s pick of posts around the wedding world and this week’s Snippets, Whispers & Ribbons is a doozy even if I do say so myself!
1. I often wish Mr E and I had taken the time to have an Engagement session pre wedding! Your engagement is an event well worth celebrating and capturing – plus its a great opportunity to get a little practice in front the camera with your photographer! If you’re planning your engagement shoot, take a squiz at Wedding Wire’s top tips for creating engagement photos that are natural, romantic and express your personalities……
2. Oh my gosh is this gorgeous garnet wedding inspiration shoot by Lani Elias from Magnolia Rouge just perfect for Autumn (or Fall)…. how wow is this bouquet??
3. I have long said an entire wedding could be planned and prettied on online marketplace Etsy and now just to tempt us further and highlight the talented independent makers, collectors and artists that make up their community even more with Etsy Pages! Which allow you to explore Etsy through bloggers and curators (or tastemakers) you love – here’s a peek of the Etsy Page of CVB’s favourite Australian Wedding Blog Polka Dot Bride……
4. My pre-wedding ensemble is something I very much wish I had given more thought to. I hadn’t planned for any getting ready photos and therefore didn’t plan what I would wear, and lets just say it shows! I wish I had seen these Love Ophelia robes……
(Love Ophelia is a line of vintage inspired, romantic robes and delicates perfect for brides….and bridesmaids!)
5. This Sydney Harbour wedding is super elegant, completely gorgeous, and bride Kat’s beautiful custom designed, 50′s inspired, powder blue gown by Sarah Alice Andrews will absolutely make your knees weak!…..
Have a wonderful weekend one and all – I am off to get the garden, house and me looking pretty for my husband’s return!
