Whilst many of you are looking forward to fall, here in New Zealand Spring has well and truly sprung! And today’s wedding inspiration shoot from We Are Origami and The Bridal Collective, in a palette of neutrals, lush greens and pops of white, and full of soft sunlight, captures the prettiest season of the year at its very best…..

With a vision of a fresh take on a country wedding, infused with timeless elegance for vintage-loving brides, a super talented team of Australian wedding vendors collaborated to create this charmfest of a styled shoot – seriously, those flower girls are too cute! Before I let you sit back and soak up every little detail, a few words from Jess of The Bridal Collective… “David & Belle from We Are Origami knew that they wanted to create a rustic wedding, but in a way that would shed new light on this theme. I had recently been inspired by the ‘white-on-white’ trend and decided that décor in this colour would add the fresh and modern feel that white always brings. Being a country setting however, we felt it was important to incorporate natural materials and textures. So, we played with twine, burlap and lace but in a way that was subtle and clean. The final product resembles a French provincial look, but in a truly Australian setting.”

And from David of We Are Origami… “The theme of the shoot was ‘Provincial Rustic Vintage’, and the perfect setting for just such a wedding was the beautiful Montrose Berry Farm. We wanted to keep the shoot ‘real’, down to earth and natural, with the focus on ‘beauty is simple’.  Jess Colley of The Bridal Collective, who co-organised the shoot with us, was absolutely tremendous in helping turn our vision into reality. She sourced and styled all our props, centrepieces and furniture, as well as created a cohesive theme around the Provincial Rustic Vintage concept, with a contemporary and elegant palette of colours…..” 

“Melody of Mr & Mrs designed the perfect stationery, from intricate invitations to beautifully hand-calligraphed place cards, to compliment the theme of the shoot.”

“Ali from La Petite Miette supplied all the delicious sweets and desserts for the day. And not only did they look fabulous, but they tasted sooo good too – yeah, we devoured it ALL at the end of the shoot! French Earl Grey Marshmallows, Chocolate Vanilla Bean & Olive Oil Macarons, Blackberry Pie Pops, Espresso & Hazelnut Meringues, Passionfruit, coconut and crumble dessert jars and of course, the beautiful cake!”

“Jade of Jade Lee Hair & Makeup + Vanessa of VH Hair were able to make our brides look extra stunning on the day, with attention to detail and 4 different looks in 2 hours! ”

“Elaine of Butterfly Philosophy Flowers & Styling provided gorgeous fresh greens and clean white blooms for the brides and flower girls. Her florals were simply amazing and they made the entire session look extra beautiful with her selection of perfect native and soft florals. ”

“Hannah of Three Sunbeams provided gorgeous handmade bridal hair pieces for our brides, which helped to create a timeless, utterly elegant look. She also helped co-ordinate the shoot. And last but not least, Amanda of Amanda Garrett supplied our models with a couple of her absolutely gorgeous gowns, the Theodora and Butterfly. The dresses were to die for and it gave our provincial rustic theme a touch of glamorous vintage style!”
