‘Setting the Mood’ – Regal Wedding Inspiration at Anderson House
HOLLY VON LANKEN PHOTOGRAPHYAfter the oh-so-elegant royal wedding last weekend, today’s editorial couldn’t be any more perfect. Captured at the beautiful Anderson House with its palatial staircases and rooms, the details are rich with regal opulence, from the calligraphy stationery and lavish table, to the organic seasonal blooms and the floral adorned wedding cake. And the bride’s heavenly blue lace dress, with its long sleeves and tulle skirt, is quite simply fit for a princess!
Here’s a few words by way of introduction from photographer Holly Von Lanken…..“The inspiration behind this stunning wedding editorial stemmed from the keyword, “mood”. Everything from the melted candlesticks from Chris Targoni to the rainy day atmosphere contributed to this vibe.
Under the direction of Elizabeth of East Made Event Company, this shoot came together with all the right details: amazing floral arrangements from Wild Green Yonder, paper goods and calligraphy from Julie Ha Calligraphy that wold set any vintage-loving bride’s heart a flutter, and a floral-filled cake from Fleur and Flour – just to name a few elements.
The Anderson House in Washington, DC was the perfect spot to host this Jeremy Chou Workshop shoot with its opulent interior and moody lighting. The romantic tablescape complete with plenty of pretty textures and our model bride’s wardrobe change from one Emily Riggs Bridal gown into another were some of my favorite elements of the design. “
Isn’t every detail just perfection?? I love the color palette, and especially the dusky blue in that divine wedding dress! It really is such a stunning editorial, I can’t thank everyone involved behind the scenes enough, but especially to Holly Von Lanken who captured it all so beautifully. If you love Holly’s fine art style of photography and would like to see more of her work you should take a peek at her website at www.hollyvonlanken.com and be sure to find and follow her on Instagram and Facebook.
