A Spring Wedding in a Meadow of Flowers From Love Me Do Photography

It has all been a little quiet on the posting front at Chic Vintage Brides for a couple of days, but I have some super duper posts for over the coming days that will definitely make up for it 🙂 Starting with today’s real wedding from Love Me Do Photography, which all took place in the most romantic meadow of Spring flowers, with the bride wearing the loveliest bespoke lace wedding dress (long sleeved and cut ever so cutely just above the knee!) and a flower crown…..this wedding is seriously sweet!

Carina at Love Me Do Photography “Eleanor and Drew’s wedding took place at the Durham Creek Tree Farm & Hippodrome, a family friend’s property. The ceremony was in the grass surrounded by daisy fields, and Eleanor looked stunning in her vintage inspired Janice Martin Couture  dress. She also donned a floral crown by Lilies and Lavender , and Anthropologie shoes. It was a beautiful wedding to photograph, and Eleanor and Drew were the perfect couple!”

Have you ever seen a more romantic venue??  Bride Eleanor said “I grew up down the road from the location and always thought it would be the most beautiful place to be married, so when Bart and Robin, the owners, offered it to us when they heard we were engaged, it was an easy decision on our part to say yes. We wanted a simple, laid back, intimate wedding that felt genuine to us, with all of our closest family and friends there.”

The unsettled weather made for Eleanor’s favourite part of the day “The storm approaching as we said our vows under the open sky, thunder during the ceremony, and the first few raindrops coming down as we walked back down the aisle.  It all made an already emotionally intense time feel even more powerful.”

Eleanor’s gorgeous lace wedding dress came from Janice Martin Couture “Eleanor came to see me about a dress for her wedding. She knew she wanted a short, lace gown and I interpreted her original vision into a figure-defining silhouette. The gown is essentially two dresses – the under dress is a strapless fitted sheath of silk satin and the overlay gown was made of French chantilly lace with a bateau neckline, three-quarter sleeves, fitted waistline and short skirt.”
With over twenty-five years experience Janice Martin knows just how to deliver exactly what her brides want – whether it be an original hand beaded French lace confection, a contemporary satin sheath of sophisticated simplicity, or the redesign of a cherished family heirloom.
