‘Modern Gatsby Glam’ Wedding Inspiration in Peach & GoldEmma McMahan Photography
Anyone up for some luxurious time travelling today? Soft peachy tones, gold glittery tablescapes, and art deco mastery are thriving in this beautiful modern take on Gatsby glam…..
Here are a few words from photographer extraordinaire, Emma, from Emma McMahan Photography… “Since we wanted to mostly play off the historic feel of the venue, we did a vintage feel with a modern twist. Feel like it’s cliche to say it’s Gatsby inspired but it is, sort of. With the gold glittery linens, crystal goblets, high ceilings and florette tiles, massive cake and clean white walls it was easy to play with and glam up!
Our flowers were simple and elegant. Mostly white with touches of pinks and gold. We loved our hydrangea and anemones and our greenery wasn’t just green. Our floral designers made them gold!
We had a huge four tier cake sitting atop a golden bar cart. The top tier was separated from the second by a glass stand and it was decorated with white flowers, touches of gold and pampas.
For our bride we wanted to be as romantic as possible and keep in the theme. The gown was a large ball gown, a full tulle skirt with a gold beaded bodice with simple straps. She looked stunning with her side swept hair to show off her beautiful drop earrings.
We had round tables set with gold overlays, gold rimmed chargers and art deco menus. Half the tables had taller centerpieces in gold vessels and the other half had short. We had geometric table numbers to give a little bit of a modern feel as well as gold flatware, white plates, crystal candlesticks and gold votives.”
Glitz and glam for days! And this level of luxe is not only fabulous, but also customizable! Whilst the peach tones are perfect for Spring or Summer weddings, you could easily switch the shades out for deeper, muted tones to pair with the gold for a Fall or Winter celebration.
I am so grateful to all of the top-notch vendors who tirelessly worked to pull off this beauty of a shoot, but especially to Emma McMahan Photography for capturing all the details so perfectly. Head over to her website and follow her on Instagram to see more of her amazing work.
Now if this has you dreaming of an Art Deco wedding of your own, you might want to take a look at this prohibition inspired shoot with a contemporary twist or this floral filled aristocratic beauty (all the way from Russia), and this oh-so-elegant Gatsby inspired affair in a palette of black and gold.
