Beautiful Bride and Bridesmaid’s Dresses from the Luscious Luisa Beccaria
There are so many reasons I love Pinterest (currently I am using it to plan my blossoming sister-in-laws baby shower and to find potential destinations for the honeymoon that Mr E and I will one day have) but equally importantly it is a constant source of, well this is going to state the obvious but, inspiration. I constantly stumble across incredibly talented designers, photographers and wedding specialists that I almost certainly would never have found without Pinterest. The latest being Luisa Beccaria……
The Milanese designer is described as ‘a contemporary romantic whose artistic vision is drawn from an array of cultural experiences fused with vivid imagination.’ The result is a dreamy style at once glamorous, feminine and alluringly sophisticated thanks to her use of soft, muted colours, luxuriously extravagant fabrics, sensual shapes and inimitably chic details.
I love the fluidity and timelessness of her designs – couldn’t you just see Audrey Hepburn wearing this one in Roman Holiday??
For bridesmaids or perhaps even a bride daring enough to wear black…..
The colours in Luisa’s 2012 Collection are muted but beautifully rich dusky blues, moss greens, as well as vintage teal, mustard and cream……
Once offered the position of ready to wear designer by french design house Chloe, Luisa chose to pursue her own vision, dedicating herself to the creation of her ready to wear collections. She is stocked in the US by top stores such as Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, Henri Bendel, Linda Dresner and Jeffrey; in the U.K. Browns, Selfridges, The Cross and Mimi. She also has worldwide stores in Germany, Spain, Australia and Asia as well as an all important online presence on www.netaporter.com.

Luisa’s store is at 157, Domain Road, South Yarra VIC, 3141 , Melbourne Australia….. and it’s now top of my boutiques to visit when I go to Australia!
What do you think? Have you fallen for any of Luisa’s designs?
