Whilst here in NZ I am looking forward to Spring, Autumn is just around the corner for most of you – and I am quite envious! So far I have shared with you 5 of the prettiest palettes and 5 beautiful bouquets, and I am keeping with the Fall theme for this week’s Snippets, Whispers & Ribbons. OK, so this may be an obvious one, but nothing says Autumn quite like the colour of leaves as they fall. Ice, paint or drape in flowers using shades of deep red and burnt orange, and your wedding cake is guaranteed to have a definite autumnal feel…..

2. Choose Chocolate

Perhaps it is the colour, or the comfort that a slice of gooey, moist chocolate cake brings; but either way there is something about the use of chocolate for a wedding cake that gives it a distinctly fall look. Plus, brown cakes look so much prettier than they sound! Iced or naked, who doesn’t LOVE chocolate??…..
