5 Must Haves for The Perfect Autumn Wedding
Having looked at the most fabulous wedding dresses, bridesmaids, wedding cakes, bouquets, colour palettes and groom’s looks for a Fall wedding, I do believe we are coming to the end of our Autumn amble! (unless of course you think I’ve missed something? Do let me know in the comment section below if so!) For today’s final fall inspired Snippets, Whispers & Ribbons, I have rounded up the 5 must haves for the most perfect Autumn wedding…..

1. A Venue That Embraces The Season
Autumn is nature at its very best, so make the most of the fabulous colours and falling Autumn leaves by choosing an outdoor venue with plenty of trees. Because they are sure to create the prettiest backdrop for your portraits! …..

Or bring the outside in if it’s too wet and cold for an outdoor ceremony…..

2. Something For Keeping Your Bridesmaids Snug
Consider the cooling temperatures when choosing your bridesmaids attire and go with long sleeves or an accessory to keep them cosy – after all shivering bridesmaids with goosebumps don’t make for the best portraits (or biggest smiles!)…..

Cape, coat cardi or some sort of coverup is great, but you could also consider tights and boots!…..

3. Something To Keep Your Guests Warm
And keeping your guests snug is just as important as keeping your bridal party cosy. Throws and blankets are perfect for an outdoor Autumnal wedding ceremony – and make fantastic favours! (in fact they are what I would choose if I got the chance to plan my wedding all over again)

4. Yummy Comforting Food
Here’s another reason why Autumn is my favourite season. The cooling temperature gives the perfect excuse for indulging in the stodgiest and yummiest of comfort foods! Think pecan pies, doughnuts, candied apples, fruit crumbles…..carrot cakes, all the tastiest treats. Choose family favourite recipes and you can even make it a DIY affair – family member and loved ones will love being able to contribute!

5. A Seasonal Bar
And keep the chill away long into the night with an Autumnal bar serving some warm apple cider and spiced pumpkin cocktails…..

Spiced Pumpkin Cocktail – The Blond Cook
Or in lieu of alcohol (or in addition to) celebrate your love of caffeine and warm your guests with a coffee bar! (which also provides them the perfect place to dunk those doughnuts!) Make it occasion worthy by offering spicy flavours, cream, Irish Cream or eggnog – and personalised mugs would also make the perfect favour…..
