An Intimate Wedding Full of Rustic Vintage Elegance
When fun loving Texan newly-weds Pam and Shane describe their day as an ‘intimate, creative country wedding’ I don’t think they quite do the beauty and charm of their celebration justice. Because its sweet style radiates a welcoming rustic vintage charm that makes it exactly what an intimate wedding should be – all about the couple and their love. Photographer Allen Tsai captured every delightful detail…..
How elegant does that coffee bar look with all of its shiny silver? I love it! And doesn’t Pam look stunning? Her juliet cap veil is gorgeous and the pop of pink on her lips the perfect modern take on the traditional red for a vintage bride! With the prettiest colour palette of coral, fuchsia and peach, Pam & Shane’s rustic yet elegant, intimate celebration has me completely smitten. Luckily Sarah from Keestone Events is on hand to share all of the details…..
As with every wedding, the first step was to find the perfect venue that captured the couples vision for their day and that set the right tone for the whole event. When Pam and Shane set foot on the Flying V Ranch nestled in the hill country near Denton, they knew this hidden gem was the one for them – family owned and run, it offered just the right combination of character and charm. With the venue booked, the couple and their planner Keestone Events set out to transform the rustic country space into an elegant, vintage dinner party atmosphere. Long tables were chosen to create a relaxed, family style dinner, whilst crisp white linens and bright colorful centerpieces dressed up the quaint reception hall.
Their sweet and simple ceremony took place in an open air pavilion with a stunning hillside view. Their ‘altar’ was a doorway adorned in drapes and a custom made floral garland created by we+you. Guests watched from beautiful old church pews, painted white and decorated with flowers to match the garland.
The reception was held in the hall which Keestone Events and we+you had decorated with beautiful white tables covered in an eclectic mixture of glass bottles and wooden boxes adorned with bright coral, fuchsia and peach blooms; and place settings of mismatched vintage china with a pot of honey for favours labelled ‘Meant to bee’ – such a cute idea! A striking crystal chandelier, overhead twinkle lights, a and dozens of tea lights cast a subtle light and created the perfect dinner ambiance.
After dinner, Pam and Shane did away with the traditional wedding cake, serving their guests instead with scrumptious pie from Emporium House of Pies in small woven baskets just perfect for taking out. The eye catching long tables slinked around the room in front of a sheer white backdrop creating the perfect-sized dance floor. Whilst the distinctive antique cabinets that edged the room not only added a hint of vintage, but also housed some much needed fresh brewed coffee, in that stunning silver serving set, to keep the dance floor full all night!
And of course nothing goes better with pie than ice cream! So the couple had a charming ice cream truck from Gypsy Scoops park right outside to make for the perfect dessert!
As all good things must come to an end, after prying themselves away from the ice-cream and dancing, Pam and Shane made their exit amidst a blur of sparklers to a handsome vintage getaway car from Vintage Limos. Exhausted and as happy as could be, the newly weds climbed in and were whisked away.
A huge congratulations to Pam & Shane, wishing you a lifetime of happiness!
