Morning, morning my lovelies and how are you this fine Monday? I hope you all had a weekend filled with romance! I confess, I am more than a little bit giddy with excitement about today’s post! I am firmly of the belief that all weddings are beautiful, but this enchanting Montrose Berry Farm wedding from Lara Hotz Photography is so my idea of heaven that the moment I glimpsed it, it went straight into my Top 5 all time most beautiful weddings (I am a lister by nature….oh and two spots in my Top 5 are occupied by a Lara Hotz wedding – this Glam Garden Party Wedding is also there) And when the luscious lady herself kindly said I could share Em & Micks completely magical celebration with you, there was no small amount of shameless, squealing with delight I can tell you. In fact, so gorgeous is today’s wedding, that I found it impossible to squeeze every one of my favourite moments and details into one little post, so I filled two posts with all of the utterly stunning images, just so you won’t miss a single thing!

Just in case that hasn’t got your attention, let me tell you this wedding features a bride in blush, some of the most beautiful berry coloured florals you ever will see, a gypsy caravan, a truly styled to perfection aisle, chandaliers galore, a spectacular outdoor banquet and a groom throwing his crutches away for the first dance! Prepare your pinning finger for some serious exercise my lovelies…..

Em & Mick were married at the grounds of the heritage listed Montrose Berry Farm, a beautiful venue in Sutton Forest, NSW.

From the gorgeous bride Em “Getting married is an extraordinary thing, and it was important to us to create a sense of the ethereal for our wedding, to transport our guests into a somewhat surreal setting. It helped us to break out of our everyday drudgery and symbolised that something out of the ordinary was about to happen: the commitment of two people to one another for life’s journey. We both wanted to incorporated some of our happiest memories into our day. For me it was the joy of an easter egg hunt. Nothing thrilled me more than finding treasure as a child, so we hid chocolates in the trees. For Mick it was listening to his father’s records. His whole family is connected by music, so we played fantastic records and danced all night.”

 

“Six days before the wedding I had a phone call while I was out shopping with Mum to tell me that Mick had been in an accident and was being loaded into an ambulance. It was the most terrifying moment of my life. He came away with a badly broken leg and was in hospital for four days. We were immediately surrounded by the love and support of our family, friends and vendors. Our wedding day may not have unfolded exactly as I imagined it (we waved goodbye to getting use out of our dancing lessons!), it was so much MORE. I felt more lucky than ever to have him, and we both felt more lucky than ever to be able to celebrate our love with our friends and family. Our wedding day was not about perfection, it was about celebration.”

 

Oh my gosh, so many details I love, I hardly know where to begin??….whether you were aiming for perfection or not Em I would say you achieved it! Such a perfect venue for a magical wedding! And How stunning is the aisle decor? If you love their ceremony, just you wait until you see their reception!….
