Beautiful Boutique Toowoomba Wedding with Vintage Styling
Oh gosh is today’s wedding a treat! It gives me the greatest pleasure to introduce this inspirational real wedding – Alexia & Michael’s amazing celebration, captured by the lovely Darren at CK Metro Photos, which took place in Toowoomba (somewhere I had never heard of until I came across Darren and his blog, but that is definitely now on my list of ‘must go to’ places!)
There are SO many things about this wedding that make me swoon, it’s difficult to know where to begin – Alexia’s gorgeous gown with black belt, her glamorous gold birdcage veil, the lush statement cuff (which I have serious envy over), the opulent orchid bouquets not to mention, and I realise this sounds geeky, but the gorgeous architecture of Toowoomba, as well as all the little vintage finishing touches Alexia & Michael managed to acquire through friends and family which made this a beautiful boutique wedding!
If you have seen the above photo and are wondering where the venue is, it is actually a friend’s of Alexia & Michael’s home, perched perfectly on the edge of the range escarpment, it was kindly handed over for the day – what an incredible place to get married, let alone live!
Whilst they may add to the feel of the day, it’s not all the pretty that stays with you after the day, it’s the moments of emotion captured so eloquently like the above……
Now do you see what I mean about the architecture?!
Darren from CK Metro Photos (who is available for weddings in New Zealand as well as Australia), was the talented gentleman behind the lens of these fab images “When Alexia and Michael first come to me, Alexia said that she had the most amazing plans for the wedding. We spent many hours talking about the concepts and the ideas for the styling and the type of theme she was after – she even had her friends fly in from the UK to take part in the wedding. There are sooo many beautiful details about the wedding that I think, make it totally unique. It was stunning in every way.” I completely agree – intimate, personal, effortlessly styled (by the fabulous Vera & Rose) and full of incredible details, I spot something new that I love every time I look through these photos – look out for the bride & groom snowglobe!
(that art deco engagement ring is scrumptuous!)
This photo makes me wish I had had bridesmiads!
The bridal party shoot looks like it was such fun – starting in a cinema……
This is what I love about doing CVB, the smile that does not leave my face when I look at blissfully happy couples at glorious weddings such as this one!
Oh and if like me you can’t get enough of this wedding, it will be well worth a look at Darren’s Blog – he has a real talent for telling a story with his beautiful photographs, grouping them in such a way that you really get a sense of being at the wedding!
