Inspiration Shoots
Romantic Vintage Wedding Inspiration from Sue Gallo Designs
Today’s vintage wedding inspiration shoot, brimming with romantic Edwardian details, was created by a super creative team of wedding pros who believe that inspiration for your wedding can come from anywhere. Theirs just happened to be found within a beautiful old historic country estate…..
This swoonworthy shoot brimming with vintage wedding ideas was inspired by and took place at Ruthven Park, a heritage estate on the banks of the Grand River in Cayuga Ontario. Wonderfully romantic, packed with stunning florals by Sue Gallo Designs and vintage furniture from Warehouse 84; with every element elegantly co-ordinated from the beautifully illustrated stationery by Alicia’s Infinity, to the stunning 4 tier wedding cake by Sweet Avenue Cakery; and all captured by Ally Kristensen with a style of photography that has a charmingly aged feel to it, this shoot had my heart singing from the very first image, and I know you are going to love it too!
But first, just a few words from Sue Gallo the lady behind the vision, the styling and the fabulous florals “Ruthven Park is truly one of my favourite secluded spots to hold an intimate celebration. The grounds, the mansion, the carriage house, the river; all are so romantic and just the perfect backdrop to our inspiration shoot. When it came to styling, we wanted the beautiful grounds and buildings of Ruthven to play a large role in the atmosphere, look and feel, so we kept things simple, beautiful and vintage chic inspired.
Our photographer Ally Kristensen, captured the romantic simplicity of our vision perfectly. And our cute as can be models Malissa and Joel, real sweethearts, made the ideal bride & groom. They are totally committed to each other and have the most wonderful little man, Mason. They had so much fun playing our newlyweds for the afternoon. Although they don’t have plans in the near future to wed, they keep saying that once this inspiration shoot is published they will have a lot of explaining to do!” Well I think after this they certainly know the perfect team to create their dream wedding, so no excuses!
Isn’t it gorgeous? And how fabulous is that cake?? The floral icing perfectly matches the lovely illustrations on the stationery! I would like to say a HUGE thank-you to Sue for envisioning and styling this stunning shoot.
