In the seasonal colour palette of red, green and gold, today’s beautiful inspiration shoot, full of vintage elegance and bohemian charm, is the most perfect way to end the week! With a lush Virginian woodland setting, decor that manages to be both rustic and opulent, as well as the most stunning scarlet rose florals; all captured by the lovely Crystal Reyns Photography so perfectly, that it is impossible to believe this is her first foray into styled shoots!…..

Whilst not strictly speaking a Christmas shoot (it was actually captured in the height of Summer!) the classic holiday season colour palette immediately evokes the warm fuzzies associated with yuletide, whilst the beautiful decor and styling gives it a magical, fairytale feel. It is fair to say that I was captivated from the very first image, and I have no doubt you will be too. First of all though, a few words from Crystal Reyns on how all this beauty came about…..

“I am beyond excited and nervous to finally share my very first styled shoot! My inspiration for this was vintage, which I completely love. So I reached out to some local ladies that have rocking businesses to see if they would be interested in helping me pull it off…….and they totally were. Styling this shoot was completely fun. I had the help of Megan Wilson of Sweet Sauce that pulled in some really really cool accessories from local vendors in Richmond, check out her blog post about shoot here.

Our first stop was Urban Set Bride bridal boutique with our super awesome model, Alissa, to pick out a wedding dress. Working with Christine and her mom was a complete pleasure and they actually let us steal away TWO dresses!?!? My next contact was the one and only Kacey of Faithful Flowers, seriously one of the nicest people I know, but also the only option for me in suggesting a florist. And in this shoot I gave Kacey a free rein to do as she wanted and she NAILED IT!!!! The wedding cake was by the one and only Pam Harlowe, who never ever disappoints and makes some of the best cakes around. This was her first naked cake – not that you would ever know from looking!

The day of the shoot was so exciting!! Not only exciting, but choosing a day in July meant it was hotter than a you know what, but everyone ROCKED IT.” They sure did – this is definitely a shoot you will want your pinning finger ready for!…..
