‘Lumiere et L’Ombre’ by Gwendolynne

If you follow Chic Vintage Brides on Facebook you may have already seen the fabulous ‘Ombre and Lumiere’ inspiration shoot from Gwendolynne, as I could not resist sharing it the moment I caught sight of it!! For anyone who missed it though, here it is in all of its glory…..

Captured at Werribee Park Mansion the shoot features designs from Gwendolynne‘s stunning ‘La Porte Enchantee’ Collection, which you may remember shimmering as they sashayed down the runway at Melbourne Spring Fashion Week. With the collection inspired by the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements of the beginning of the twentieth century, the languid styling of the shoot couldn’t capture the beguiling beauty of the dresses more perfectly, exquisitely evoking the vivacity and lavishness of the 1920s.

If these tempting stills set your heart a fluttering though just wait until you see the video! Directed by Warren Dowley with stunning models Courtney Yakabuski and Laura-Jade Alexander-Breton from IMG Models Australia. Make up and Hair by Belinda Zollo for Mecca Cosmetica and Love Kevin Murphy.

Isn’t it just breathtaking? And don’t the dresses look even more fabulous when captured in movement?

There is an equally stunning second part to this shoot which will be appearing on Chic Vintage Brides shortly.

All this talk of the 1920s reminds me, I am off to start series 4 of Downton Abbey!
