The 2015 Collection of Exquisite Bridal Hair Accessories from Erica Elizabeth Designs
Good morning lovelies! I have just the perfect post to start the week for you today. For whilst every single one of the past bridal accessory collections from Erica Elizabeth Designs have been exquisite, her latest offering absolutely took my breath away – and I have no doubt it will yours too!
I first discovered the divine bridal hair accessories of designer Erica Elizabeth Designs some 3 years ago now (when I shared one of her pieces in this delightfully deco inspiration board – one of my first!) and she very quickly became a firm favourite, of mine and yours. With her incomparably romantic design style, Erica’s pieces and indeed her whole collections, have a way of of perfectly combining the elegance of eras past, with the sophistication and glamour we modern brides demand. Always brimming with strikingly beautiful crowns, delicate veils and unique flourishes; her refined collections, impeccably captured by Caroline Tran, are invariably heavenly to behold. But I do believe this, her latest collection for 2015, could be her most beautiful yet….. you are going to want to have your pinning finger ready!
I will hand you over to the lovely lady herself, Erica, for a few words about the inspiration behind her newest collection “Embracing the design aesthetic personified by craftsmen in centuries past, my new collection harks back to the lush creations of medieval times. This season’s head ornaments are crafted with multiple layers of delicate metal florals, hand-fabricated flowers and leaves paired with softer organic materials, accessories to crown a bride in refined elegance. To celebrate a special woman on her singular day, I’ve designed highly detailed halos, tiaras, crowns, vines and flourishes to complement a selection of sublime veils.”
Isn’t the medieval artistry Erica has incorporated exquisite? She has such an eye for detail, and always uses such rich materials and techniques; her timeless pieces are created to be truly treasured, not only on your wedding day but for years to come – heirlooms of the future! It is clear when you see an Erica Elizabeth Design collection, that each piece has been a true labour of love, designed and hand-crafted in Erica’s LA studio using only the finest materials to couture-quality standards. Indeed, her classical techniques and relentlessly high standards are something Erica prides herself on…..”My 2015 Spring/Summer Collection is firmly focused on distinctive design created with hand detailed craftsmanship. In a world of mass production, my studio continues to grow and flourish by staying true to this handmade design sensibility, paired with a commitment to uncompromising craftsmanship.” Only the very best is good enough for her brides, and rightly so!
Gloriously opulent I just LOVE all of the crowns in this collection, but the Periwinkle coronet is without a doubt my favourite! And isn’t the styling of the shoot heavenly? So utterly romantic and full of timeless elegance, simply perfect for showcasing all the gorgeous hair accessories. A huge thank-you to Caroline Tran for capturing it all so eloquently and to Erica for allowing me to share it! This is just a glimpse of a few of my favourite pieces from the collection, do pop across to her website at www.ericaelizabeth.com to see the rest.
And if this is the first time you have come across her work, you will definitely want to take a peek at her past collections, some of which are still available to buy.
