In keeping with this week’s rather Autumn look and feel here on Chic Vintage Brides I have a beauty of a styled shoot for you today, capturing the stunning veils and headpieces of CVB sponsor and designer Wanlu Bridal. You may remember a while ago I shared her beautiful Wedding Dress collections, if you missed it you can take a look here – and you really should because they’re Gorgeous, with a capital G! (Think affordable Vera Wang infused with vintage lace) Wanlu Bridal may have began life on Etsy, but she is quickly building a reputation as the designer of choice for any bride wishing to express her own personal style and looking for a little extra romance. Specialising in creating fairytale bridal gowns Wanlu focuses on exquisite details and quality. “Our goal is to introduce completely fresh and romantic bridal looks. We cherry-pick only the highest quality materials that will most suit our brides, from fabrics to packing. It is fair to say I was smitten with Wanlu’s collection of veil and headpieces from the moment she sent me the first snaps from the shoot. Dreamily romantic mantilla and birdcage veils have been created from the most luxurious fabrics including silk, tulle and delicate french lace, to sit alongside a selection of glorious gold headpieces, all inspired by old movies, vintage shops and little trips.  The look is so fresh, but with all the romance and glamour of eras past it is perfect if you are looking to create a vintage vibe to your bridal look. The use of gold and pearl embellishment gives the pieces such luminosity and richness, this really is just the most beautiful collection of accessories and perfectly captured in this oh so pretty seasonal shoot with photography by Jackie Moore. Such a romantic bridal cap! The 1920s inspired ‘Joanna’ is made with high quality Chantilly lace, decorated with a handmade silk flower and a hand curled ostrich feather.

The lovely nature inspired ‘Hazel’ features delicate gold blossom and leaves on gold crystal adorned headband.

‘Harlow’ named after one of the most glamorous stars ever to grace the silver screen, is a romantic fingertip veil hand sewn to a golden comb and adorned with a splash of hand applied pearls.

My favourite piece of the collection has to be ‘Joy’ (above and below) – those sweet little polka dots are actually velvet and that gorgeous trim is the prettiest Alencon Lace.
