Lavish Bridal Inspiration Shoot Immortal Beloved
LAURA TAIT PHOTOGRAPHY
Back home in the UK, the wedding blog that introduced me to the world of wedding blogs also introduced me to the incredible Joanne Fleming (the lady who designed this fabulously feathery coat for the gorgeous Love Audrey) with whom I was instantly enamoured – with her love of the opulent and dramatic, as well as her passion for all eras of the past! Since starting Chic Vintage Brides I have long wanted to post about her beautiful bridal dresses, so breathtakingly unique; and now I finally am! So ladies and gentlemen, without further ado let me introduce you to the Immortal Beloved…..
Based around the love letters sent by Ludwig van Beethoven to a mysterious addressee in 1812, this bridal style inspiration shoot from Laura Tait Photography portrays the everlasting mysterious love existing between a couple about to set out in marriage. Set in the beautiful Auckland’s Winter Gardens (New Zealand) the creative team behind the shoot worked together to ensure that the mysterious and magical undertones of the shoot were created – and to perfection I say! Incredibly, the heavy rain that poured down on Auckland that day, just added to the atmosphere that was to be created.
By mixing the exquisite dresses of Joanne Fleming Design with the backdrop of the Glass House the team created a scene that would not have looked out of place in the theatre. Splashing a hint of floral art in to the mix, along with touches of quirky yet pretty Jo Barnes accessories the shoot came to life. The words from one of Beethoven’s letters provided the underlying script of the day – “……as much as you love me – I love you even more deeply, but never hide yourself from me…….”.
Aren’t the dresses just an absolute trio of gorgeousness in their sensuous silk satin, clouds of tulle, baroque figured damask, and crisply elegant silk faille, all embellished with keishi pearls, Swarovski crystals, silk ribbon embroidery, and antique lace. The designs are “Cecile” in all over French lace, “Samantha” with Ivory silk organza over ‘vintage white’ duping and a degas pink waist sash, and my favourite “Annie” with French lace bodice overlay silk organza skirt and those elegant long lace sleeves……
If you haven’t popped along to Joanne’s website you must and please do read her About page, it is beautifully written and really gives an insight to the designer!
