I love the idea of making the most of the long hot days with a garden wedding, with an arbor or tree filled courtyard providing your guests with some much needed shade for the reception. An outdoor reception doesn’t mean you have to go rustic, instead think menus in vintage gilt frames and elegant candle laden tablescapes with plush chairs under crystal chandeliers. Keep your tablescape understated and neutral to allow the natural surroundings and color palette to shine.

Much as I think this colour scheme will make the most beautiful Summer wedding, the jewel tones and touch of gold means it is a palette that would be just as perfect for a wedding in Autumn, Winter or Spring. Just move it indoors for an Autumn or Winter affair – think roaring fires and candles lighting the long night – but be sure to bring the greenery indoors with you! Because this mix of sapphire and emerald relies on the natural greenery to give it its lush contemporary feel.

If you have your heart set on a Summer celebration but aren’t in love with this colour palette you will find plenty of other wedding colours and inspiration boards in CVB’s archives. Like this romance-fest in the softest shades of pink, this elegant peach affair and this 4th of July inspired red, white and blue palette.
